CLAT Latest Updates 2027: Registration Deadline Extended
The biggest of the CLAT latest updates 2027 is the new deadline. The Consortium has extended CLAT 2027 registration to 11:59 PM on 7 November 2026 for both UG and PG programmes. The original date was 31 October.
Apply only on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The fee is Rs 4,000 for General and OBC candidates and Rs 3,500 for SC, ST and BPL candidates.
Complete the payment before the deadline. A form without the fee is not a valid application.
Past years show extensions can happen but they are never guaranteed. Do not wait for another one.
Here is how to apply, in short:
Register on the official site with your mobile number and email, then verify the OTP.
Fill in your personal and academic details and choose your test cities.
Upload the required documents and pay the fee.
Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
CLAT 2027 Exam Date and Timing
Among the CLAT latest updates 2027, the exam date has not changed. CLAT 2027 is on Sunday, 6 December 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM, in offline mode.
That is less than five weeks away. Your admit card will show your exam centre and the Consortium will announce the release date on its website.

CLAT Latest Updates 2027: Pattern Changes
There is no change to the CLAT 2027 pattern or syllabus. The Consortium has confirmed this.
Reform is still coming, and it is part of the CLAT latest updates 2027 to watch for the future.
An Expert Committee has proposed cutting the UG paper to three sections. Its report was published in July 2026, and the Consortium collected public feedback until 31 August. A separate committee will review it, and any decision applies from CLAT 2028 at the earliest. Nothing about it affects your CLAT 2027 preparation.
CLAT Latest Updates 2027: Key Announcements Since the Notification
These are the CLAT latest updates 2027 announced in July. If any of them affect you, such as a changed city or reservation category, check your application on the official portal.

What the CLAT Latest Updates 2027 Mean for Your Preparation
The pattern is fixed, so your plan can be fixed too. The paper has 120 questions in 120 minutes, which is one minute per question on average and every wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
Practice all five sections, since none is dropped for CLAT 2027.
Time every mock. Passage-based sections reward speed as much as accuracy.
Skip questions you cannot narrow down because of the negative marking.
