CLAT Exam Centers 2027: Quick Facts
What Changed in the CLAT Exam Centers 2027 List
The Consortium removed two test cities from the CLAT exam centers 2027 list in September 2026: Vellore and Tiruvarur, both in Tamil Nadu.
Candidates who had chosen either city had to select another one.
The Consortium set 31 October 2026 as the last date to update it. If you chose either city and have not updated your application, check the official portal now for any remaining edit window.
Nearby options in Tamil Nadu are Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli and Trichy.

How CLAT Exam Centers 2027 Are Allotted
You select up to three cities in order of priority while applying.
The Consortium allotts a centre based on your preferences and the number of applicants per city.
You may not get your first choice if that city fills up.
Your centre name and address appear on your admit card, usually released about two weeks before the exam.
The same list of CLAT exam centers 2027 applies to UG and PG candidates.
Once a centre is allotted, you cannot ask for a change. Choose with care.
How to Choose from the CLAT Exam Centers 2027 List
Pick the closest city first. Less travel means a calmer morning.
Make your second choice easy to reach. Metro cities fill up fast, so add a city you can reach by train or road.
Do not list three big cities. Add one smaller city from the CLAT 2027 exam centres list as a safe backup.
Plan the journey. Check how you will reach the city the day before the exam.
Book your stay early. If the city is far from home, stay close to the centre.
4 Mistakes to Avoid with the CLAT Exam Centers 2027 List
Using an outdated list. Some websites still show Vellore and Tiruvarur. Only the Consortium's website is final for the CLAT exam centers 2027.
Listing three cities that fill fast. Mix a major city with a quieter one.
Ignoring the exact centre address. A city can have several centres and your admit card names yours.
Planning travel at the last minute. Tickets and rooms near popular CLAT exam centers 2027 sell out early.
